Projection mapping often involves the transformation of buildings. Taking something boring and plain and using your imagination to wow audiences. You can imagine our joy when finding out we had been given the opportunity and honour to project onto one of Sweden’s oldest and most famous castles. Örebro Slott sits at the heart of the city and is cherished by the community both young and old. Working with a large team of directors, screenwriters, technicians, 3D artists, animators and musicians we transformed the castle for the whole month of December.
Smash created a 3D print of the castle in order to get a real for the projection on a miniature scale.
The all ages show told the story of Tomten, all old Swedish poem. Two mice were the main protagonists and the story followed them, learning about the real spirit of Christmas.
